The Rocio del Mar, Puerto Penasco Mexico (just three hours southwest of Phoenix)
Welcome to Rocio Del Mar - your luxury liveaboard that will allow you to experience the unique splendor of the
northern Sea of Cortez. With clear, deep blue waters, abundant sea life, white sand beaches and inspiring
vistas, the Sea of Cortez - known as the Gulf of California - is a breathtaking destination for amazing fishing,
scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, boating, and exploring diverse marine creatures. Legendary diver Jacques
Cousteau described the Sea of Cortez as the "world's aquarium" and the "Galapagos of North America.” Dive
on untouched walls and reefs abounding in marine life. Encounter the magical marine life including a variety of
whale species, whale sharks, manta and jumping mobula rays, and sea lion colonies. Hike and explore
remote uninhabited islets. Dine under the stars in a calm anchorage, socialize with your shipmates and make
new friends. Then melt into a luxurious bunk in your own finely appointed cabin with private bathrooms and
hot showers. All in a day aboard Rocio, combined with personalized service to enhance your live aboard safety

The Rocio del Mar is 110 feet of all steel construction, powered by twin turbo diesels, housing ten guest
staterooms, equipped with the latest marine electronics to get you to the best dive sites quickly and safely.
Individual charters to custom group itineraries - This is your chance to explore and adventure some of the most
remote dive sites in the world. On the Rocio del Mar, we can get you to these spectacular dive sites safely and
comfortably. This is not you "traditional" liveaboard. Arrive at your dive site in style.
Special Guests on the July 11th Charter!
Dive with the folks who, literally, wrote the book. The Academy of Scuba is pleased to welcome Ned and Anna
Deloach as our special guests on this wonderful charter. Ned and Anna are seasoned marine life experts.
During the trip, they will be leading our guests on dives, conducting video and photo clinics, and leading
workshops on marine life behavior and identification. The Deloaches are coming to the Sea of Cortez and you
have the chance to learn with the very best in the field of fish identification. Ned Deloach is a published author,
editor, and a photographer. Some of the published credits of Ned Deloach include Coastal Fish Identification
California to Alaska 2nd Ed., Reef Fish Identification: Baja to Panama, Reef Fish Identification - Tropical Pacific,
and Reef Fish Identification: Florida, Caribbean, Bahamas.
Your Itinerary!
We will depart from Puerto Penasco Mexico (Rocky Point), about three and a half hours south of Phoenix AZ.
Our boat leaves about 4pm and we ask everyone to arrive at least two hours before departure. We'll enjoy a
nice dinner and some great conversation with Ned and Anna. On Sunday we start our Diving!
