The Academy of Scuba Rescue Course is arguably the most comprehensive Recreational Scuba Rescue program available. This is a certification course for Scuba divers who desire to assume greater rescue capabilities during diving activities. The training  emphasizes accident supervision and management with practical applications in open water. This course is designed specifically to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to:
(1) Help prevent diving accidents. (2) Recognize life-threatening diving situations.  (3) Correctly initiate and/or supervise rescue/assist procedures. (4) Effectively perform in- water rescue/assist techniques and procedures. (5) Correctly manage rescue assistants during and after rescues. (6) Provide immediate, effective post-rescue aid. (7) Correctly manage a diving emergency with adjustments for local variants.

We Focus on Diver Education and Value ...

The Rescue Diver Course is unlike any Scuba course you have taken to date.  From the first minute of class, you are being taught to observe, be aware of your surroundings and think outwardly.  It’s these skills that start you on the path to becoming a true leader.  The fun part about this course is rising to the challenges and mastering them.  Most divers find this course both demanding and regarding, and at the end say it was the best course they’ve ever taken.

To take the Rescue Diver course, you must be: An Advanced Open Water Diver /Advanced Scuba Diver (or have a qualifying certification) and 15 years old. You must also be trained and current for first aid and CPR. The Academy of Scuba can assist you with these pre-requisites.
