Deep Diver Specialty Course

Walls, Wrecks, Marine Life!

There are many reasons to go deep.  However, this is not just a course about diving to numbers. This is a course on how to safely dive to the depths.  Key life support skills, techniques and knowledge to comfortably extend your recreational dive limits.

The Academy of Scuba's Deep Diver course is a must for any diver wishing to explore a little more and will teach you the risks and benefits of deep diving.  Many interesting sights lie just beyond 18m/60ft such as beautiful wall dives, ship wrecks,
and critters that don’t come into the shallows.  During the course, your Instructor will take you on two covers skills like:

• Proper descents

• Air management

• Effects of nitrogen narcosis

• Dive planning
  

By the end of the course your knowledge and comfort level will have increased.  The Deep Diver course has a maximum depth of 40m/130, the suggested sport diving limit.

Required Equipment
All your personal scuba equipment necessary and appropriate to dive in the environment you are training.  Including tanks and weights.

1 Visual Safety Device (Sausage, Mirror, etc)

1 Audible Safety Device (Whistle, Air Horn, etc)

1 Backup Flashlight - Buy at K2Scuba.com

Compass, Slate with Pencil, Tables and/or Computer

Pony Bottle with Regulator and Gauge

Larger or HID Flashlight - We recommend this fantastic HID Light

Double Tanks (only with previous experience)

Dry Suit (only if Drysuit Certified)
